Lafayette Superyacht

Zero-speed stabilisers hold Lafayette's deck jacuzzi and swimming pool level while she lies at anchor, and her owners, who come from luxury hospitality, chose her interior décor and her exterior colour scheme themselves in place of a standard yard finish. She is a 120ft (37m) Amer superyacht launched in 2024, and she flies the French flag and holds RINA class.

Water toys

A 15ft Williams jet tender takes five guests and a crew member ashore at a time. Waterskis, a monoski and a wakeboard are there to be towed, a fly sofa seats four riders behind the tow line, a jet ski carries a single rider, and there is an electric jet surf as well. Under the surface, Sublu hand-held scooters pull a swimmer along, and snorkelling gear comes in sizes for adults and for children. Two inflatable paddleboards and two rigid paddleboards give a slower way across the water under muscle power.

Where she cruises

Mallorca, in Spain, is Lafayette's home port, and she works the western Mediterranean from there, ranging along the coasts of Spain, France, Monaco and Italy.

Accommodation and crew

Her five staterooms – three doubles and two twins – put ten guests to bed, and the master cabin is placed on the main deck. Six crew look after a party that never exceeds ten overnight, and twelve can be aboard by day.

Comfort under way

Four Volvo Penta IPS drives with joystick control move her GRP hull along at an 18-knot cruise and up to 27 knots, and her stabilisers keep working under way, so the roll is checked at speed as it is at anchor; her peak falls in July and August.

On deck

Gym equipment aboard means a training routine can carry on for the week, and a swim platform gives a direct step into the water.

Charter notes

Lafayette is offered by the week or as a three-day hire, and she suits two couples or a family of up to ten. Two of her staterooms convert, so the cabin plan can be set around whoever is aboard.
