Explo Power Catamaran
About Explo
One cabin with a queen bed is the whole of her sleeping accommodation, so Explo is laid out for two overnight – an unusual way to use a 60ft (18m) hull. Walker built this power catamaran in 2018, and she was refitted in 2023.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 14 knots and has 20 in reserve, so moving from a morning anchorage to somewhere further along the water costs little of the day.
On deck
A swim platform brings the deck down to sea level, which turns getting into the water and back out again into a step rather than a manoeuvre.
Water toys
Five toys travel with her, among them a Jet Ski, a banana boat and a donut ride to be towed behind, and snorkelling gear for a look under the surface, while a 12ft tender takes guests ashore.
Where she cruises
Explo's home port is Dubai, and she cruises the United Arab Emirates, with November, December, January and February her peak months.
Accommodation and crew
The cabin is air-conditioned and Wi-Fi reaches through the boat, and a crew of three looks after two guests, which means more than a crew member each.
Charter notes
Explo is a couple's boat first, and one that can still take 40 people aboard for a day on the water, so the same rental answers for two guests and for a much larger gathering.
