Silent Dream Power Catamaran

Twelve guests can be aboard Silent Dream by day and six sleep aboard, and she carries them on electric power alone, her batteries fed by solar panels. This 59ft (18m) power catamaran was built by VisionF in 2021.

Water toys

Two SUP boards and a kayak travel with her, along with inflatable toys and snorkelling gear for a cove with something worth looking at below the surface. Two sea scooters are aboard as well, and a 12ft electric tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Mallorca, in Spain, and she cruises Spanish waters, at her busiest in July and August, with the coves of the Balearic coast for anchoring and swimming.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins, each with its own bathroom, make up the accommodation: the master is the largest, with a king bed, a vanity table and a good deal of daylight, while a wide window sits beside the double bed in a guest cabin. A crew of two runs her.

Comfort under way

She travels at 4 to 7 knots, and her generous beam leaves ample room in the cabins for quiet nights at anchor. Shallow water is no obstacle to her, so she can lie in close to a beach.

On deck

The sundeck carries an alfresco dining table and areas for sunbathing under a bimini, so a meal outdoors is out of the direct sun, and the aft deck works as an outdoor sitting room with the water a step away.

Charter notes

She suits a family or a group of friends who want a week in Spain spent in and out of the sea; a charter runs by the week, with three days the shortest hire. Her hydraulic bathing platform lowers to the water, which makes swimming a step down rather than a climb.
