Hermes Catamaran Luxury Catamaran

Every suite aboard Hermes Catamaran has a balcony of its own and a jacuzzi of its own facing the ocean, and a spa with a hammam and a massage room serves the whole party. She is a Custom Made luxury catamaran of 164ft (50m), completed in 2025 and engineered by Via Natura on more than 30 years of experience.

Water toys

Stand-up paddleboards and kayaks travel with her, so guests can move over the water under their own power, and the snorkelling gear comes with wetsuits and fins for swimming among the wildlife. Naturalist guides go along on the small-group hikes and the water activities, and a tender carries the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Her home port is the Galapagos, in Ecuador, and Ecuador is the only country she works in, through the Galapagos Islands, an archipelago of volcanic landscapes and species found nowhere else, which are what the voyage is for. She is the longest of the eight yachts based at the Galapagos and the longest in the country, with her peak months falling in December, January and February.

Accommodation and crew

Twelve suites divide between the main deck and the upper: an owner's suite, single suites for guests travelling solo, and king suites that convert to twins, so the bed plan can follow the make-up of the party. The owner's and king suites have walk-in closets, and every suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, a mini bar and motorised blackout curtains, with a balcony sized for breakfast served in the room. She sleeps twenty guests and a crew of nineteen looks after them, butlers and a cruise director among them, which is close to a crew member for every guest.

Comfort under way

General Motors engines drive her at 8 knots on a cruise and 12 knots at most, an unhurried pace on a catamaran hull that gives her a broad and level platform for her length.

On deck

The sun deck carries recliners and an outdoor jacuzzi, an observation deck opens the view all round, and the Aperitivo Lounge is an outdoor cocktail lounge while the Sole e Luna restaurant dines al fresco. Inside, the Paradiso Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and, in the evenings, fine dining with a dress code, on a signature menu written for her by a renowned chef as a fusion of local and international cooking, and a reading room and lounges with flat-screen televisions add quieter indoor space.

Charter notes

Hermes suits a large family or a group who take the whole boat, since a charter is capped at twenty guests and a three-day hire is the shortest she offers. Unpacking and laundry are handled for arriving guests, and a butler readies each suite before the day's expedition, so the week aboard Hermes Catamaran begins with nothing left to arrange.
