Lydia Motor Yacht
About Lydia
Three Volvo Penta IPS engines drive Lydia, each rated at 800 horsepower, for a 20-knot cruise and 23 knots flat out. Sanlorenzo built her in 2021, and the layout was drawn around a fully open main deck rather than a flybridge helm.
Build and provenance
Lydia is built in GRP, hull and superstructure both, to a semi-displacement form. Officina Italiana Design drew both the exterior and the interior. At 116 gross tons and 27 metres, or 88 feet, she sits within the range Sanlorenzo builds under the SX name.
Layout and accommodation
Below, four cabins sleep eight guests: the master occupies the full beam, there is a VIP, and two more cabins complete the deck. Three crew live aft in their own quarters, reached through a private entrance that keeps service away from guest spaces. With the helm moved to the flybridge, the main deck runs as one open space for the saloon, dining and a forward lounge.
Performance and engineering
Zero-speed gyro stabilisers hold her steady at rest and under way, and her tankage gives a 1,200 nautical mile range, enough for a genuine passage rather than a coastal hop. With 299 hours logged since her 2021 build, most of her running life is still ahead of her. A Williams SportJet tender, a Sea-Doo jet ski and two Seabob underwater scooters cover the water toys, backed by a lithium battery bank and a watermaker for time spent away from a marina.
Where she lies and how to see her
Lydia lies in Italy. We arrange viewings there in person, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial come next, before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
