Regine of Cannes Motor Yacht
About Regine of Cannes
Thirty knots at the top end and a 24-knot cruise are the numbers that set the pace for Regine of Cannes. Sanlorenzo delivered her in 2021 as an SL78, and she lies in the city whose name she carries: Cannes.
Build and provenance
Regine of Cannes is a Sanlorenzo SL78 with a composite hull and superstructure under a flybridge layout that adds an open upper deck to the accommodation below. Officina Italiana Design finished the interior, and at 25 metres on a monohull she carries her performance without extra bulk.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, with a crew of three aboard to run her, a compact complement suited to a yacht built for speed rather than a large-crew, long-haul cruise. At 96 gross tonnes she is light for her length, which is part of how she reaches that top speed.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,622 hp MTU 10V2000 M96L engines drive her to a 30-knot top speed and a 24-knot cruise, output that matches the light, composite build rather than fighting against it. A range of 740 nautical miles means fewer fuel stops on a longer run along the coast.
Where she lies and how to see her
Regine of Cannes lies in Cannes, France, true to her name. We arrange viewings there and are present for each one, and once an offer is accepted the survey and sea trial follow before completion.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
