Back 9 and a Half Motor Yacht
About Back 9 and a Half
A crew of six and a refit only finished in 2024 say something about what owning Back 9 And A Half involves: this is a yacht kept current, not simply kept afloat. ISA delivered her in 2017, and ten guests across five cabins now share a hull that has recently had fresh work done to it.
Build and provenance
She is a GRP-hulled flybridge motor yacht from the Italian yard ISA, delivered in 2017 and refitted in 2024. Andrea Vallicelli drew her exterior lines, and Guida Design worked on her interiors alongside the yard's own studio, and she measures 121 feet, or 37 metres, overall.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated in five cabins, with a crew of six to run the boat and look after them: on a yacht this size, six hands mean the systems, the galley and the guests all get proper attention rather than one crew member covering two jobs.
Performance and engineering
Three MTU engines at 2,400 horsepower each give her a 24-knot cruise and 31 knots at full throttle. Her draft of 1.5 metres, or 4.9 feet, means she can run close to shore and hold in shallow anchorages without special caution.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a jacuzzi and a separate sun deck give guests two distinct places to be outside: one for lounging in the sun, the other for soaking in the jacuzzi, so there is more than one outdoor gathering spot aboard.
Where she lies and how to see her
You can view Back 9 And A Half in Sag Harbor, where Boatcrowd will meet you at the boat. Once your offer is accepted, a surveyor and a sea trial follow, ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
