About A Salt Weapon

In her transom A Salt Weapon carries a beach club, and off her stern a Z-lift swim platform that rises clear of the sea or drops down into it, so getting in and out of the water happens at the water's own level. She is an Ocean Alexander superyacht of 113ft (35m), the first of the builder's Puro series, delivered in 2024, with naval architecture by Andrea Agrusta and an interior by Giorgio M. Cassetta.

Water toys

Two Seadoo jet skis ride with A Salt Weapon, so two riders can be off the boat at the same moment, and a Waverunner and a pair of Seabobs travel alongside them. Fishing tackle and snorkelling sets are aboard as well for fishing and snorkelling straight from her, and a 36ft Boston Whaler tender takes the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Nassau in the Bahamas is her home port, and beyond the Bahamas she also works the Turks and Caicos and the USA, so the choice of where to go is wider than a single country.

Accommodation and crew

Ten guests sleep in five en suite cabins, with a king, a queen, a double and two twin cabins among them, and twelve can be aboard by day. The master suite is on the main deck and takes her full width, while the guest cabins sit on the lower deck around a lobby stocked with a fridge and mini bar, so a cold drink is close to hand down there. Five crew look after the ten, a crew member to every two guests, and her busiest weeks come in December and the first three months of the year.

Comfort under way

Her hull is a displacement hull, and twin MAN engines give her a 12-knot cruise with 17 knots in hand. Stabilisers run at zero speed as well as under way, so the roll is taken out of her both at anchor and on passage.

On deck

The upper deck carries a table for meals outdoors, the sun deck has long runs of lounge seating and its own bar with stools, so drinks are poured in the open air, and on the bow a jacuzzi with glass walls sits in a ring of large sunpads. Inside, the main saloon opens straight into the dining area without a wall between them, and a sky lounge with a bar counter and sofas gives the party a second room to gather in.

Charter notes

A Salt Weapon suits two couples or a family of up to ten, and her hire runs by the week. Two of her cabins switch between twin beds and a double, so the lower deck can be arranged as doubles or as twins to fit the party aboard.
