Sanlorenzo SL86 Motor Yacht
About Sanlorenzo SL86
27 knots at a cruise and 32 flat out is planing-hull pace, the kind that turns a lunch run into an hour rather than an afternoon. The yard delivered her in 2018, and a 2026 refit means a buyer takes on systems that have just been gone through rather than a list of jobs still to do. Sanlorenzo SL86 lies at Antibes today, ready to view.
Build and provenance
She is a semi-custom motor yacht in GRP, with a GRP superstructure, at 27 metres and a 6.4-metre beam. A 2026 refit followed, and she is described as presenting as new since it was completed.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep in four cabins, with three crew in their own quarters. The owner's cabin has large hull-side windows and its own bathroom with a separate glass shower enclosure, and three further cabins take the remaining six guests. The main saloon is glazed on both sides and aft, wrapped around a marble-topped coffee table, with an internal staircase connecting the main deck to the upper deck.
Performance and engineering
Twin 2,000 hp MTU M96L T3 engines drive her through shaft drives to that 27-knot cruise and 32-knot top speed. Two Kohler generators, one at 25 kW and one at 20.5 kW, back a fuel capacity of 8,000 litres and 1,600 litres of fresh water, tankage built for time away from a marina rather than day trips. Stabilisers hold her level both under way and at anchor.
Recent works
The 2026 refit reached the mechanical side rather than stopping at appearances: engines, generators, stabiliser fins and watermaker were serviced, and the electronics, CCTV and sea water systems, shaft seals included, were checked over too. The hull was repainted and polished, a new tender lift went in, and Starlink and the audio system were renewed.
On deck and at anchor
On deck she offers three separate places to sit: an aft cockpit for shaded dining, a bow lounge with sunpads, and the flybridge itself, hardtop-covered with its own dining table and seating. An elevator connects the decks below, so moving between them need not mean the stairs.
Where she lies and how to see her
Sanlorenzo SL86 lies at Antibes. Boatcrowd takes buyers through the boat there and sets up the sea trial, and once an offer is accepted a survey follows before the paperwork completes.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
