About Ambar
Zuccon International Project drew Ambar's deck plan offset to one side rather than centred, the concept that gives Sanlorenzo's SL120 Asymmetric its name. She was delivered in 2022, and at 37 metres the extra width that layout creates goes into the main deck rather than the length overall. She lies now in Fort Lauderdale, ready for a new owner to take her on.
Build and provenance
Ambar is built in GRP, hull and superstructure both, and runs a semi-displacement hull rather than a full planing one, the choice that lets the SL120 Asymmetric carry her volume efficiently at cruising speed. No refit is recorded since her 2022 delivery, so a survey today reads her as she left the yard.
Layout and accommodation
A crew of six look after the ten guests, kept in the five cabins: the full-beam owner's suite on the main deck and four further cabins below, the asymmetric plan's signature move. Full-height glazing brings light into the main salon above, keeping the lower cabins for rest and the main deck for the day.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,637 hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines take Ambar to a 23-knot cruise and 27 knots flat out, speeds that put a fast crossing between anchorages within reach. Stabilisers work both underway and at anchor, so the ride stays level on passage and the boat stays still once she is settled for the night.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club and a swimming platform are both aboard, and a tender garage keeps the tender out of sight until it is wanted. A bow thruster handles close-quarters work at the dock, and air conditioning runs throughout for the warmer legs of a season.

Ambar lies in Fort Lauderdale. We arrange a viewing and are there for it, and once an offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
