Build and provenance
She is a semi-displacement design on a steel monohull, with a long bilge keel paired with two sets of zero-speed stabilisers, one for anchor and one for under way, built to keep a 499 GT hull settled rather than merely upright. Her propellers sit with extra clearance from the hull, a detail meant to cut vibration and noise at speed. Paolo Dose drew her exterior and Red Yacht Design finished the interior, and Mengi Yay's own yard carries her through to the 2028 handover.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five staterooms: a Master Suite on the main deck with its own private balcony, two VIP staterooms, and two twin cabins on the lower deck. Nine crew run the boat, a ratio that on a 47-metre hull leaves room to look after ten guests properly rather than stretch to cover them.
Performance and engineering
Twin Caterpillar engines give the Virtus 47M NB 115 a 12-knot cruise and 14.5 knots flat out, with a 1,892-nautical-mile range at cruising speed. Three Caterpillar generators back the systems, one of them rated at 51kW, so the yacht can sit at anchor for days without running short of power. At 8.8 metres of beam and a 2.8-metre draft, she carries her 499 gross tonnes on a hull built for coastal work rather than open-ocean passages.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club opens onto the water at the stern, the sundeck carries a jacuzzi, and a sky lounge adds a second gathering room above the main deck. Bay windows on both sides fold out into balconies for the view, cranes handle the tenders and toys, and underwater lighting extends the beach club after dark. An enclosed garage keeps the tender out of the weather, and wifi and air conditioning run through the boat.

Mengi Yay is building the Virtus 47M NB 115 in Turkey, with delivery due in 2028. Boatcrowd will arrange a viewing of the build in progress and stay involved through to handover; once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial come next before she is signed over.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
