ISA is building her for delivery in 2028, a 40-metre displacement motor yacht designed around uninterrupted sightlines rather than enclosed decks. The glass balustrade around the infinity cockpit and the wide windows in the owner's cabin carry that idea through the whole design.
Build and provenance
Isa Unica Alloy 40M is a new-build motor yacht from ISA, a 40-metre monohull with a beam of 8.2 metres and a draught of 1.5 metres, measured at 390 gross tons.
Layout and accommodation
The five guest cabins sleep ten people, and a crew of nine tends to their every need. The owner's suite sits forward on the main deck with its own office and lounge, a double walk-in wardrobe and a sliding door that closes the sleeping area off from the rest of the suite. Two separate dining areas, one formal on the main deck and a second laid with a round table one deck up, mean guests are never asked to eat where they lounge. The fly deck runs to close on sixteen metres, room enough for two separate sun areas and a bar.
Performance and engineering
Three Volvo Penta IPS 1350 pod drives, each rated at 1,000 hp, give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. Pod propulsion trades outright pace for manoeuvrability at the dock and a quieter ride at anchor, which suits a yacht built around entertaining on deck rather than covering distance fast.
On deck and at anchor
The stern descends over three levels to a pool and cockpit at the waterline, kept open to the view by a glass balustrade rather than boxed in by solid rails. The Jacuzzi sits up on the fly deck, away from the pool deck below, so sunbathing and a hot soak do not compete for the same space.
Where she lies and how to see her
Isa Unica Alloy 40M is under construction in Italy, with completion due in 2028. Boatcrowd arranges viewings of the build and attends them with prospective buyers, and once an offer is accepted we co-ordinate survey and sea trial as soon as she is ready.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
