La Mama Motor Yacht
About La Mama
A single owner has run La Mama since Azimut delivered her in 2022, and the extended warranty on her MTU engines is still active, worth knowing before any survey begins.
Build and provenance
She is a Grande 32M, Azimut's flybridge model, with an exterior by Stefano Righini and a hull that carries carbon fibre elements, a double-chine, wave-piercing bow shaped for a comfortable ride. At 215 gross tons on a 32-metre hull, with a 7.3-metre beam and a 1.9-metre draft, she carries her flybridge and lounge decks over that reinforced hull.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated in five staterooms: a full-beam master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins with Pullman berths for extra sleeping capacity. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the master suite and the main salon keep the interior bright. A crew of five look after the boat and her guests, with a separate tender garage keeping toys and equipment out of the beach club space.
Performance and engineering
Twin 2,200 hp MTU 16V2000M86 engines, backed by two 44kW Kohler generators, take her to a 21.5-knot cruise and 26.5 knots flat out, a pace suited to covering ground quickly between anchorages. Her range runs to 1,000 nautical miles at cruising speed, and the double-chine, wave-piercing hull is built to keep that speed comfortable rather than jarring.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a beach club at the stern opens easily onto the water, with a foredeck lounge and a flybridge seating area extending the space above.
Where she lies and how to see her
La Mama lies in Nassau, in the Bahamas. Boatcrowd will set up a viewing and be there for it, and after an offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial come next, before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
