A gym instead of a fifth cabin says something about how Carpe Diem is meant to be run: fewer beds, more time spent moving rather than sitting still. Azimut built her in 2023 as part of the Grande 32M series, and she lies in Miami.
Build and provenance
Carpe Diem is a Grande 32M, with exterior styling by Stefano Righini and a research team, and interiors by Salvagni Architetti. Azimut delivered her in 2023, so a buyer takes on a yacht built just a few years ago, still on her original specification.
Layout and accommodation
Nine guests are accommodated across four cabins, one of them fitted out as a gym rather than a fourth sleeping space, and a crew of five run the boat. The owner's cabin sits forward on the main deck, full beam, with its own ensuite. That trade of a cabin for a gym suits a buyer who wants to train aboard rather than fill every last berth with guests.
Performance and engineering
Twin Caterpillar C32 B engines, rated at 2,200 hp each, take Carpe Diem to a 25-knot top speed and a 20-knot cruise, quick enough to close a day's run before lunch is over. Stabilisers hold her steady at anchor, so the gym and the flybridge jacuzzi both stay usable once she stops for the night.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge carries a jacuzzi, and a beach club opens off the stern for swimming. Together with the gym below, they make Carpe Diem a yacht suited to days spent aboard rather than time ashore.
Where she lies and how to see her
Carpe Diem lies in Miami. We set up her viewings and are there for each one, and a survey and sea trial follow once an offer is accepted. She is also in our charter fleet, running out of Miami into the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos as well as home waters, so a buyer can charter her before deciding to buy, and judge her from time spent aboard rather than a walkthrough alone.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
