Build and provenance
AvA Yachts designs and builds Kando 120 in-house, a 38-metre monohull explorer with an 8.1-metre beam and a 2.5-metre draught, at 390 gross tons. The yard's own interior team pairs high-gloss walnut and wenge with dark leather and lighter upholstery throughout, a calm finish built to last years of cruising rather than a single season.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six double cabins, with a crew of five to run the yacht day to day. The owner's suite sits full-beam, forward on the main deck, with full-height windows that fill the cabin with natural light, and the lounges on the main and upper decks share the same glazing for open, bright social spaces.
Performance and engineering
Two Cummins diesels rated at 1,600 hp apiece give Kando 120 a 10-knot cruise and a 14-knot top speed, engineering suited to distance rather than a fast crossing. Furuno navigation electronics and Sleipner bow and stern thrusters back that up, and Kohler generators keep the systems running for as long as the fuel and water aboard, 15,850 gallons and 2,642 gallons, allow.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a jacuzzi and a transformer swimming platform are the two fixed points for time at anchor, with the bow and stern thrusters aboard making close-quarters handling straightforward when she noses into a berth.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
