Amer 120 Motor Yacht
About Amer 120
Four 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS power the Amer 120, a propulsion choice built for manoeuvring at the dock as much as for the passage out. Amer is building her now, a 36-metre flybridge yacht, for delivery in 2028.
Build and provenance
She is a monohull flybridge motor yacht from the Italian yard, built with less composite in her structure, some of it replaced by metal and glass; the yard puts the weight saved at around four tons. Delivery is due in 2028, so a buyer is purchasing a yacht still under construction rather than one already proven at sea.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins, with a crew of five in their own quarters, a crew-to-guest ratio of one to two that points to a yacht meant to be run and served properly. The master cabin is full beam, with a limestone bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe,.
Performance and engineering
Four 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS drives give her a 23-knot cruise and a 27-knot top speed. A Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser holds her steady at anchor, and fin stabilisers do the same job under way, so the ride stays level whether she's moored or making passage.
On deck and at anchor
On deck she carries a flybridge built for open-air living and a BBQ station for evenings there, backed by a tender garage, jet skis and a hydraulic gangway that makes getting ashore straightforward. A satellite TV connection and a bow thruster round out a yacht equipped for both comfort and easy handling.
Where she lies and how to see her
The AMER is under construction in Italy. Every viewing is ours to set up and we attend each one, and once a buyer's offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial happen before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
