Freedom I Superyacht

A second base at Fort Lauderdale is uncommon, and it lets Freedom I start a week from either port. She is a 110ft (34m) Horizon superyacht, built in 2022.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers steady her with the engines turning and again when she sits still at anchor, and the difference is a hull that rolls much less under you. A cruise of 18 knots is her normal pace, with 27 knots there for a longer stretch.

On deck

A jacuzzi up on deck puts warm water out under the sky, and the swim platform brings the sea within a step, with an easy way back aboard. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi keep the interior cool and the group in contact.

Water toys

Two kayaks and two paddleboards put two people afloat on each, two Seabobs go with them, and snorkelling and fishing round out six toys aboard; a 39ft Novamarine tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Nassau in the Bahamas is her home port. Freedom I ranges across the Bahamas and along the coast of the USA, and south to the Virgin Islands, St Barths and the Grenadines, island groups that keep a choice of anchorages within reach of each other.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins – a king, three queens and a double – sleep ten guests, six crew are aboard to look after them, and her peak months are January to March and December.

Charter notes

Freedom I is hired by the week, which fits two couples travelling together or a family taking all five cabins; twelve can be aboard by day, so the ten who sleep aboard can have company on the water.
