Demarest Superyacht

Twin MTU diesels give Demarest a top speed of 25 knots and a 15-knot cruise, so the water between anchorages passes quickly, and the interior of this 106ft (33m) Falcon superyacht was drawn by Stefano Righini.

On deck

A jacuzzi sits out in the open air, and the swim platform puts the sea a step away rather than a climb down; a spa is carried aboard as well.

Water toys

A 22ft tender takes the group ashore, and the toys cover most of what a day on the water can involve: a Wave Runner and a jet ski, so two can ride at the same time, a Seabob, two SUP boards, a kayak, water skis, snorkelling and fishing gear, a towable banana and a donut.

Where she cruises

Phuket, in Thailand, is Demarest's home port, and from there she ranges into Malaysia and Myanmar across the Andaman Sea. Nearer at hand are Coral Island, given over to water sports, Maithon island, where dolphins come around the boat, and the white-sand beaches of Thailand's west coast, with clear water off them.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep twelve – a master suite, two VIP suites and two twin cabins, with a pair of pullman berths – and fourteen can be aboard by day. Six crew run her, a crew member for every two guests staying overnight, and the cabins are air-conditioned.

Comfort under way

Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at anchor as well as under way, so there is less roll to live with; her fibreglass hull dates from 2002 and she was refitted in 2022.

Charter notes

Demarest cruises year-round, her peak months being December, January, February and March, and she suits two couples travelling together or a family. Day hire can be arranged. For those who dive, she carries scuba gear, so getting underwater does not mean finding a boat ashore first.
