Build and provenance

Alberto Mancini drew her exterior lines, and her naval architecture came from P.L.A.N.A Design, working alongside the builder's own engineering team. Her hull is steel with an aluminium superstructure, and at 499 gross tons she is built for crossing oceans. She is a new build, with no service history yet to report.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests aboard the Mangusta Oceano 50 are accommodated across five cabins, with the main deck flowing straight into the saloon through sliding doors that keep the indoor and outdoor spaces as one room. It is a layout built around movement between deck and interior rather than corridors that separate the two.

Performance and engineering

Two MTU 12V 2000 M86 diesels, each producing 1,700 horsepower, give her that cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 16 knots: an efficient pace built for distance rather than a fast run between two nearby ports.
