Tankoa Yachts delivered her in 2024 as a total custom build for a single, experienced owner, and at 58 metres and 1013 gross tons she was built for distances as much as for evenings at anchor.
Build and provenance
Diamond Binta is a Tankoa Yachts build, a steel-hulled, aluminium-superstructure monohull styled outside by Francesco Paszkowski, with interiors created with Margherita Casprini. She measures 58 metres, or 190 feet, with a beam of 10 metres, and displaces 1013 gross tons. A total custom build of this size, for one experienced owner, gives a buyer a yacht shaped around a single brief rather than a production run's compromises.
Layout and accommodation
Fourteen guests are accommodated in seven cabins, looked after by a crew of seven, a full complement for a yacht built to entertain as much as to cross oceans. The owner's suite sits on the main deck with its own lounge, office and dressing areas, plus direct access to an outdoor terrace, so the owner's day can unfold without ever going below.
Performance and engineering
Two Caterpillar 3512E engines, each rated at 1835 hp, give Diamond Binta a 15-knot cruise and a top speed of 17 knots, a displacement pace built for range rather than for a fast run to the next anchorage. Stabilisers keep her steady, which matters most on longer passages between destinations.
On deck and at anchor
On deck and at anchor, Diamond Binta offers a beach club with guest cabins nearby, a sun deck, an outdoor bar and a swimming pool for the days spent at rest. A gym keeps a routine going even far from land, and satellite TV, video-on-demand, WiFi and a Bluetooth docking station keep the interior connected throughout. A helipad and a tender garage extend what a day away from a marina can include.

A viewing of Diamond Binta is arranged through Boatcrowd, and we are there throughout. Once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before anything is finalised, the stage at which a yacht built for distance is tested over it rather than simply on paper.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
