Build and provenance
Her exterior lines are the work of Alberto Mancini, developed with naval architecture from PierLuigi Ausonio, and Mangusta builds her hull in aluminium rather than composite, a construction choice suited to a fast yacht at this length. She remains in build, with delivery due in 2029.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated across five cabins aboard the Mangusta GranSport 54, a layout built on a hull shaped for speed rather than for volume.
Performance and engineering
Four MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, each rated at 2,600 hp, drive her to a 20-knot cruise and a 29-knot top speed. At 12 knots she can cover 3,800 nautical miles, range enough for a genuine passage rather than a day out from a home marina. A gross tonnage of 499 on a 54-metre hull keeps her light for her length, which is what lets that engine output put her at 29 knots rather than leave her as a slower motor yacht with sporting styling alone.
Where she lies and how to see her
Her build is under way in Italy, with 2029 the year she is due to leave the yard. A visit to see her progress is arranged through Boatcrowd, who stay with a buyer through that inspection rather than handing it off. Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
