Mangusta Oceano 44 Motor Yacht
About Mangusta Oceano 44
Sliding doors instead of walls are the organising idea behind the Mangusta Oceano 44: every principal space, deck to deck, was designed to open into the next rather than stand apart. The yard and designer Alberto Mancini drew her together, inside and out, for an owner who wants the boat to feel like one continuous room rather than a stack of separate ones. She is due from the Italian yard in 2028, at 45 metres and 472 gross tons.
Build and provenance
She is an In build project from the yard, developed jointly by its own engineering department and designer Alberto Mancini, who handled both the exterior lines and the interior. At 8.7 metres of beam and a draft of 2.4 metres, the Mangusta Oceano 44 sits toward the beamy end for her 45-metre length, part of how the open layout finds its room.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated across five cabins, with the master suite on the main deck. Skylights set into the base of one of the two onboard pools let daylight reach the cabin from above, and a mechanically driven balcony gives the owner a private opening onto the sea rather than a fixed window. A second pool sits on the sun deck.
Performance and engineering
Two MTU 12V 2000 M86 engines give her an 11-knot cruise and a 16-knot top speed, figures that fit a yacht built for coastal and island-hopping days rather than ocean crossings. At 472 gross tons on a 45-metre platform, she carries her volume without the engines having to work for a high top end.
On deck and at anchor
The beach club opens when the transom drops and the side terraces unfold, turning the stern into a sheltered, part-glazed space rather than a simple swim platform. On the main deck, a sunbathing area set into one of the pools is reached over teak decking, and the sun deck carries the second pool along with its own lounging space.
Where she lies and how to see her
She is being built in Italy for a 2028 delivery. We arrange every viewing across the build and are there for each one; when an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
