About Black Legend
One owner since 2017 is the kind of history that matters most on a boat this size, and it belongs to Black Legend. Mangusta delivered the 164-foot yacht that year, and she was refitted in 2022, the same year she completed her five-year special survey. At 485 gross tons on a 50-metre hull, she has real interior volume to show for it.
Build and provenance
She is a monohull motor yacht built in GRP, a sport profile rather than a slow-cruising one, from Mangusta's yard. Single ownership since 2017 and a completed 2022 survey give a buyer a short, legible history rather than one to untangle.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of four to look after them. A full-beam master suite is listed among her features, giving the owner's cabin the width of the whole hull rather than a share of it.
Performance and engineering
Four 2,600 hp MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines give her a 35-knot top speed and a 25-knot cruise, in keeping with her sport styling. Stabilisers work both underway and at anchor, and a 40,000-litre fuel tank gives her an 800-nautical-mile range, enough for a real passage rather than a day out.
On deck and at anchor
On deck she carries a beach club, a jacuzzi, a barbecue and a sun deck, the spaces a group uses through the day. A gym and a steam room sit belowdecks for the quieter hours, and a cinema, sunpads and a wine cellar cover the evenings.

Black Legend lies in Vallauris, France. A viewing can be arranged directly through Boatcrowd, with someone from our side present throughout it. Once a buyer's offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial come next, ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
