About Four Joys
Twenty-two knots at full throttle and seventeen at a comfortable cruise: Four Joys is built to cover ground between islands quickly, not just to carry the speed on paper. Maiora built the 30 Walkaround in 2023, and the numbers behind her top end are the reason to start with the engine room rather than the saloon.
Build and provenance
She is a GRP-hulled motor yacht with a GRP superstructure, one of Maiora's 30 Walkaround models, with a beam of 7.5 metres. A glass-reinforced hull and superstructure keep weight down through the yacht, which matters directly for the speed her engines are asked to produce.
Layout and accommodation
The five cabins sleep ten guests in all, with the master suite forward on the main deck and four further cabins below. A crew of six run the yacht, enough hands to keep a flybridge cruiser this size properly staffed underway and at anchor.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,000 hp MTU 12V 2000 engines drive Four Joys to a 22-knot top speed and a 17-knot cruise. She measures 140 gross tons, a hull built light enough that two engines of this size can produce planing speed rather than a slower displacement cruise. Electric fin stabilisers hold her level both underway and at rest.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, the flybridge runs on a single level from aft to the foredeck with no steps between them, so guests can move the length of the boat without breaking stride. The foredeck holds seating for lounging, and al fresco dining spaces are set out for guests to eat outside.
Where she lies and how to see her
Four Joys is currently in Athens; a call to Boatcrowd puts a viewing on the calendar, and someone from Boatcrowd is there for it. An accepted offer is followed by survey and sea trial. She is also part of our charter fleet out of Mykonos, so a buyer can charter her ahead of any decision to buy.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
