About Big Picture
Twelve guests across five cabins, each with its own en suite, is the number that defines life aboard Big Picture, a Sixty5 built by Lagoon in 2024. A battery bank lets her air conditioning run without a generator turning through the night, and her sails are cut from black Kevlar rather than a standard cloth. She is a sailing catamaran built around how her days and nights feel, not just how she performs under sail.
Build and provenance
Lagoon built Big Picture in 2024 as a Sixty5, with a hull and superstructure in GRP finished with a dark grey wrap. Patrick le Quémen drew her exterior and Nauta Design her interior. At 21 metres, 68 feet on her class certificate, with a 10 metre beam and a draft of 1.6 metres, she reaches shallow anchorages that larger yachts cannot, without giving up the stability of a bigger boat under way.
Layout and accommodation
Below deck, five en suite cabins sleep twelve guests in what the yard calls the owner's layout, with two crew in their own quarters. The main saloon carries an enlarged galley island and a shorter saloon couch that opens a straight walkway from the aft saloon to the forward cockpit, a change from the standard Sixty5 plan. For a family or group aboard her, it means moving through the boat rather than around fixed furniture.
Performance and engineering
Twin 195 hp Yanmar engines give her a 10 knot cruise and a top speed of 12.6 knots under power, kept for manoeuvring and calm days rather than for covering ground the sails already cover. Her tanks hold 1,300 litres of fuel and 1,000 litres of water, enough for a buyer to plan a passage of some length rather than a single afternoon out.

On deck, her sails are cut from black Kevlar rather than a standard cloth, and her decks are laid in a sustainable teak. At anchor, the battery bank lets her air conditioning run without a generator turning through the night, the kind of quiet a buyer notices straight away.
Where she lies and how to see her
Big Picture's current berth is confirmed to a buyer at enquiry, and Boatcrowd arranges the viewing and is there for it. Once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
