About Aura
Twin 1,300 hp MAN engines and a matching pair of Kohler generators sit at the centre of Aura's specification, chosen for the distances a working charter season actually covers rather than for a single afternoon out. Horizon delivered her in 2023 as the FD90 Skyline, and the power that carries guests also carries the house loads a boat this size needs while sitting at anchor. Build and provenance
She is a fibreglass-hulled flybridge motor yacht, built in Taiwan and drawn by the designer Cor D. Rover, and she carries an AMSA 2C/1E survey classification, the certification that lets her carry paying guests as well as an owner. That class notation is the reason her engineering leans toward redundancy: twin engines, twin generators, and a Czone monitoring system watching over both.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five en-suite cabins, four of them below deck and the owner's suite forward on the main deck with stair-free access, while four crew have two cabins of their own set aft. That arrangement keeps the principal suite on the quiet deck and puts crew traffic behind a separate door, the kind of separation a charter operation depends on as much as a private owner does.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,300 hp MAN D2868LE466 engines give Aura an 11-knot cruise and a 20-knot top speed, headroom that turns a longer hop into an option rather than the only plan. Twin Kohler generators keep air conditioning and the galley running at anchor without leaning on the mains, and bow and stern thrusters make her straightforward to place alongside without a marina crew's help. A 1.9-metre draught keeps her out of the shallowest anchorages while letting her sit close in elsewhere.
Where she lies and how to see her
Aura lies in Sanctuary Cove, Australia. Boatcrowd arranges viewings there and attends every one, and once an offer is accepted we bring in the surveyor and organise the sea trial. Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
