Aveline Motor Yacht
About Aveline
A full-displacement hull is the design decision behind Aveline, built for a steady ride rather than outright speed. Horizon completed her in 2021 as a 28-metre motor yacht of 175 gross tonnes, built in GRP throughout. She sleeps eleven guests across five cabins, with a crew of six to run her.
Build and provenance
Horizon delivered Aveline in 2021 as a monohull motor yacht with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, a straightforward build beneath a displacement profile. At 175 gross tonnes on a 28-metre length, she carries genuine interior volume without the structural demands of a planing hull. For a buyer, that combination points to a yacht built for settled days aboard rather than fast point-to-point runs.
Layout and accommodation
Eleven guests sleep across five cabins, and a crew of six looks after them, a ratio that favours attentive service over a lean weekend crew. That crew size also signals a yacht kept properly staffed, which matters as much to day-to-day upkeep as it does to a week aboard.
Performance and engineering
Aveline cruises at 12 knots, the pace her full-displacement hull was drawn for. A buyer should read that figure as a statement of intent: a yacht built to sit steady at sea and cover ground without drama, not one optimised for speed.
Where she lies and how to see her
Aveline lies in Hong Kong. Boatcrowd arranges viewings there and attends them alongside you, and once an offer is accepted we bring in the survey and sea trial before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
