About My Maximus
Two names sit behind My Maximus's shape: Alberto Mancini drew her exterior and Luca Catino her interior, and the pairing shows in a flybridge motor yacht that reads larger than her 28 metres. Dominator delivered her in 2018 as the 28M Ilumen.
Build and provenance
She has a composite hull finished in a premium topside coating, a monohull built new in 2018 for efficient cruising rather than outright pace. Her flybridge carries a private spa bath, a dining area, a wet bar and open lounging space, the deck Dominator built as My Maximus's second living room. A hydraulic swim platform and a tender garage add practical stowage for watersports gear, and she carries MCA commercial compliance, a classification an owner can lean on if she is ever chartered as well as sailed privately.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins, including a full-beam master suite that runs the width of the boat, with four crew in their own quarters. That is a crew of four for ten guests, a ratio that keeps service close without crowding the passageways, and the interior runs from an open main saloon down to a lower deck living space so the ten aboard have room to spread out as well as gather.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,200 hp MAN V8 engines give My Maximus an 11-knot cruise and a 16.5-knot top speed, power sized for covering ground rather than sprinting between anchorages. A Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser keeps her level at anchor and under way, the fit that matters most on the days spent at sea rather than tied up in port.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
