Azimut 82 Motor Yacht
About Azimut 82
Owning a new Azimut 82 starts with a choice made before she is even built: three Volvo Penta D13 engines at 900 hp each as standard, or the 1000 hp option for an owner who wants more in reserve. That decision, made at the order stage, sets the tone for how she will be run from the day she is delivered.
Build and provenance
Azimut builds the 82 as a flybridge motor yacht on a monohull, twenty-five metres in length and eighty-one feet by the American measure, with a beam of 5.9 metres and a draft of 1.7 metres. Fabio Fantolino designed her interior and Alberto Mancini her exterior styling. She is due for delivery in 2026.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of two aboard to run her day to day. Two crew for eight guests is a lean ratio on a yacht this size, which puts more of the daily running, the routine and the maintenance, into an owner's own hands or into a shoreside management arrangement rather than a resident team handling everything.
Performance and engineering
The standard specification cruises at 25 knots and reaches 32 knots flat out, with a range of 324 nautical miles, figures suited to covering a coast in a day rather than crossing an ocean. A stabiliser and a proportional bow thruster are both fitted, equipment that turns docking and anchoring into a task one person can manage rather than a full-crew manoeuvre.
Where she lies and how to see her
She lies in Italy, where Azimut builds her. A viewing goes through Boatcrowd, who organises it and is present throughout, and any offer accepted on Azimut 82 is followed by a survey and a sea trial before the sale is confirmed.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
