About Kando 85
A swimming platform aft, a Jacuzzi on the flybridge and a bar built into the same deck: Kando 85 is built for days spent outside rather than for the passage between anchorages. She is the second hull of AVA Yachts' Kando 85 line, built with changes already worked in: the Jacuzzi moved aft, a hard top added, and the flybridge extended forward. Eight guests share her across four staterooms, with three crew to look after them.
Build and provenance
Kando 85 is a full-displacement world cruiser from AVA Yachts, in steel with an aluminium superstructure, built to CE Category A. At 200 gross tonnes on a 2.3-metre draught, she carries volume for her length while still able to reach shallow anchorages. She is Hull #2 of the model, ordered after Hull #1 had already sold, so her design carries the sister ship's lessons rather than a design started from scratch: the Jacuzzi relocated aft, a hard top fitted, and the flybridge extended forward for a longer sunbathing area. AVA Yachts expects to deliver her in 2027.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep in four staterooms: a full-beam master forward on the main deck with panoramic windows and its own bathroom, a VIP cabin, a double to starboard and a twin to port that converts to a double. Two crew cabins sit on the lower deck with their own mess and galley, keeping service separate from the guest areas, and three crew altogether look after the boat.
Performance and engineering
At 9 knots cruising and 12 knots flat out, her twin 408 hp Volvo Penta engines suit a full-displacement hull built to cross oceans, not to hurry between them. She carries sufficient fuel and fresh water for extended stays away from a marina. Two 35 kW generators cover the hotel load at anchor.
On deck and at anchor
Up on the flybridge sit the Jacuzzi, a bar and a wide sunbathing area, the spot where the evening settles once the anchor is down. Aft, the swimming platform opens the stern to the water, close enough to the dining table and built-in seating for lunch straight from the sea.
Where she lies and how to see her
Kando 85 is under construction at the Antalya yard in Turkey, with a 2027 handover planned. Boatcrowd can take a buyer through to see her progress, and once an offer is accepted, a survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
