Alexandra III

Buying a yacht that has already had its major work done saves a new owner an early season of yard visits, and that is the position Alexandra III is in. Pershing built her in 2020, and her most recent yard period left her with fresh topside paint and completed major services, with her MTU engines still under warranty. Duty has already been paid in the US too, one fewer step for an American buyer.

Build and provenance

Pershing built Alexandra III in 2020, with a GRP hull and superstructure. Fulvio De Simoni was responsible for both the interior and exterior design, one hand behind the whole look, from the helm seat to the cabins below. At 26 metres and 96 gross tons, with a 5.9-metre beam, her proportions favour speed over interior volume, in keeping with a sports yacht.

Layout and accommodation

Six guests sleep in the three cabins, with a crew of three to look after them, close to one crew member per two guests. One of the three cabins holds a lower media room, a layout built as much for entertaining as for sleeping. An aft garage holds a tender and a jet ski, keeping the toys out of the way of the deck spaces guests use most.

Performance and engineering

Alexandra III cruises at 41 knots, and the record shows the same number as her outright top speed, power that comes from her MTU engines. Zero-speed Seakeeper stabilisers hold her steady at rest as well as under way, useful given the pace she is built for.

Alexandra III lies in Fort Lauderdale. A viewing there is straightforward to set up: Boatcrowd handles the arrangements and is on hand for it, and once a buyer's offer is accepted, we bring in a surveyor and set up the sea trial before the sale goes any further.
