Solemates II

One owner's specification, not a shipyard's standard fit, shaped Solemates II. Mulder built her in the Netherlands and delivered her in 2022 to a buyer already experienced with Northern European yachts, and that experience shows in choices a production spec sheet would not include. Solemates II is a 36-metre, 118-foot displacement motor yacht on a monohull, built by Mulder and delivered in 2022. Her hull is aluminium, chosen for an efficient, stable displacement passage rather than for planing speed. Her finish is described as among the best seen at her size, the result of an owner's brief rather than a standard production build.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across five cabins, including a full-beam master with a skylight that brings daylight in by day and a view of the stars at night. A tender garage sized for a Williams carries her water toys, with room besides for two jet skis, kayaks and dive gear. The woodwork and joinery throughout are part of the same owner-driven specification that set the hull and the build quality.

Performance and engineering

She cruises at 15 knots and reaches 16 at full speed, her aluminium fast-displacement hull built for efficient long-range passages rather than outright pace.
