Benetti Motopanfilo 45M

Two MAN V12 engines rated at 1450 hp each give the Benetti Motopanfilo 45M a 10-knot cruise and a 15-knot top speed, figures suited to a displacement hull built for steady running rather than pace. She is being built now, for delivery in 2028.

Build and provenance

She is a displacement monohull at 480 gross tons, drawn around a Veranda Deck concept the yard developed with RWD, its main-deck open space decorated by Lazzarini Pickering Architects. For a buyer, the roles of both organizations are a record of who shaped the yacht, not just who built her.

Layout and accommodation

Seventeen guests can be aboard, across five cabins, arranged around a main deck built differently from a conventional saloon: an open space with a central pool that opens on three sides, so the lounge and the stern run into one another rather than stopping at a bulkhead. Large rectangular hull windows and round portholes bring outside light into the guest spaces below.

Performance and engineering

At 480 gross tons on a 45-metre hull with a 9.1-metre beam and a 2.5-metre draught, she carries enough underwater volume to hold that cruising speed steady rather than to chase a faster one. The pairing of a wide beam and a shallow draught also opens up anchorages a deeper hull would have to avoid.

The Benetti Motopanfilo 45M is being built in Italy. When she is ready, Boatcrowd will bring interested buyers to see her in person, and we attend every viewing alongside them. An accepted offer is followed by a survey and a sea trial before handover goes ahead.
