About Jacki 8
An asymmetric layout is the detail that sets Jacki 8 apart. Sanlorenzo moved the port-side passage up onto the superstructure roof on this SL96 Asymmetric and kept a single walkaround to starboard, freeing roughly ten square metres of interior volume for a wider, brighter saloon. She dates from 2020 and runs 29 metres on the water, a flybridge motor yacht on a single hull.
Build and provenance
Sanlorenzo built Jacki 8 as an SL96 Asymmetric, a monohull flybridge design with a beam of 6.76 metres and a draft of 1.98 metres. The asymmetric hull is the model's defining engineering choice as much as a styling one: relocating the passage frees the full beam for the saloon, which is why the room reads open rather than corridor-shaped.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, and a crew of four keep the boat running, a ratio that lets one crew member focus on each pair of guests. The full-beam master suite takes advantage of the asymmetric layout directly, occupying width a single-passage design further forward could not offer. A library gives guests a quiet retreat.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,216 hp MTU 16V2000M86 engines carry Jacki 8 to a 24-knot cruise and a 29-knot top speed, putting her in planing territory rather than displacement cruising. Stabilisers hold her level at rest, and her engine room is described as showing low hours, useful to know before a survey.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge is the main outdoor room aboard Jacki 8, and satellite TV and WiFi keep it usable for work as well as leisure while at anchor.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
