Calm Motor Yacht
About Calm
A forward-facing bed in the main deck master is not how the SL series is usually laid out, and it changes how Calm feels to move through: the cabin opens up rather than backing against the hull. Sanlorenzo built her in 2016, and the layout choices stand out before anything else on board does.
Build and provenance
Calm is a Sanlorenzo SL series, a fibreglass flybridge motor yacht with a monohull. Francesco Paszkowski drew both her exterior and her interior, and she carries Registro Italiano Navale classification. At 29 metres and 155 gross tonnes, she sits toward the larger end of the model's proportions without losing the styling the series is known for.
Layout and accommodation
Nine guests sleep across four cabins. The main deck master carries that forward-facing bed along with generous storage and its own en suite, a layout that opens the cabin rather than tucking it against the hull. Below, a full-beam VIP cabin sits forward, with one double and one twin cabin alongside it for family or a second couple. The main salon folds its dining table in two to free space when it is not laid for a meal, and a discreet crew passage on the starboard side keeps service out of the guests' way. The flybridge, reached from both the aft deck and the pilothouse, carries a hard top, a bar, a grill, a dining table and a sofa under its own shade. Four crew sleep in two cabins on the lower deck, with their own access from the main deck's starboard side.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,217 hp MTU 16V2000M84 engines give her a 25-knot cruise and a 28-knot top speed, proportions built for pace over a planing hull rather than a slow ocean crossing. Her 418-nautical-mile range fits that brief: a yacht for the coast and the islands within a day's reach, not a passage-maker. A beam of 6.8 metres keeps her nimble at speed, and stabilisers smooth the ride underway. Two Kohler generators at 45 kW each run the hotel systems while she is out.
Where she lies and how to see her
Calm lies in Antibes, France. We organise the viewing and are on hand for it, and once an offer is accepted the survey and sea trial follow before anything moves further.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
