Sal Motor Yacht
About Sal
A buyer can try this one before committing to it: Sal already charters through Boatcrowd out of Mallorca, working Spain, France and Italy through the season. Sanlorenzo built her as an SD90 in 2022, a twenty-seven-metre yacht sized for exactly those waters.
Build and provenance
She has a GRP hull and superstructure, with an interior designed by Patricia Urquiola around eco-conscious materials, including bathroom surfaces made from compressed seashells. For a buyer, that combination means a lighter build and finishes chosen for sustainability as much as looks.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins take eight guests in all: one master, a pair of doubles, plus a lower deck salon that folds into an extra twin or double with its own en suite. Four crew run the yacht, enough to keep service attentive for a group of this size without the living space feeling crowded by staff.
Performance and engineering
Her two 800 hp MAN engines cruise at 10 knots and reach 14 knots flat out, with zero-speed stabilisers holding her steady both underway and at anchor. At a 1.9-metre draft, she can reach shallow coastal anchorages many yachts cannot.
Where she lies and how to see her
Saint-Tropez is where Sal currently lies, and Boatcrowd handles every step of getting a buyer aboard to see her, in person, before any offer is made. A survey and sea trial follow once terms are agreed. Because she already charters with us from Mallorca across Spain, France and Italy, a week on board ahead of a purchase is simply a booking away.

Also Available to Charter
She is in our charter fleet as well as on the market, so a season can be run against her costs while she is for sale.
Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
