About Scorpion
Three open deck spaces and a beach club give Scorpion room to spread ten guests across a gathering rather than crowd them into one, and a sauna and gym below turn a week aboard into more than transit between anchorages. Sanlorenzo built her in 2015 to the 46Steel specification, with an Art Deco-inspired interior anchored by a crystal sculpture staircase.
Build and provenance
Scorpion is a steel-hulled, aluminium-superstructure motor yacht, 46 metres overall with a 9.3-metre beam, built by Sanlorenzo in 2015 as a 46Steel. She is ABS classed and MCA compliant, classification a surveyor will confirm rather than take on trust.
Layout and accommodation
Five cabins sleep ten guests, and ten crew look after them, near enough one crew member per guest to run a full house without stretching. Three open deck spaces spread the socialising across the boat instead of concentrating it in one saloon.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,100 hp Caterpillar 3512B engines give Scorpion a 12-knot cruise and 16 knots at full power, the pace of a displacement motor yacht built to cover distance steadily. At-anchor stabilisers hold her still once the hook is down, which is what keeps the sauna and gym usable rather than theoretical.
On deck and at anchor
The beach club opens the stern to the water, and a bathing platform gives swimmers and the tender a second way on and off. The sauna and gym sit below, and video of Scorpion under way is available for a buyer who wants to see her move before flying out.

Scorpion lies in Imperia, Italy. We set up viewings on site and are there for them, and once an offer is accepted a survey and sea trial follow before the sale completes.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
