About Livia
A Dutch naval architecture practice and a design studio have shaped this fifty-two metre hull together, and the result reads as considered rather than assembled. RMK Marine is building Livia for delivery in 2028, sized at 499 gross tons on a 52-metre length with a 9.1-metre beam, kept under the tonnage line that keeps a yacht's operating rules simpler. Twelve guests are carried across seven cabins, with eleven crew to run her.
Build and provenance
RMK Marine, one of Turkey's established yards, is building Livia to a hull shaped by a Dutch naval architecture practice, with Red Yacht Design responsible for the exterior. She is a steel-hulled monohull, classed with Bureau Veritas, and 2028 is her scheduled delivery year rather than a year she has already been surveyed: a buyer here is an early participant in the build, not an inspector of a finished yacht.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated across seven cabins, with a crew of eleven to run the yacht: a ratio generous enough to keep service unhurried through a full guest programme. The owner's suite sits on the main deck, set apart from the guest cabins below.
Performance and engineering
Livia's propulsion runs on a four-unit IPS arrangement rather than conventional shaftlines, chosen for a tighter engine room, quieter running and finer manoeuvrability at low speed, with added redundancy from having four units rather than two. As a 2028 delivery, her cruising and top speed figures are not yet fixed.
Where she lies and how to see her
Livia is under construction at the yard in Turkey, with her 2028 delivery still ahead. Boatcrowd arranges viewings of her build and attends them alongside a prospective buyer. Survey and sea trial follow once an offer is accepted and she is complete, in that order and not before.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
