Project Orca Motor Yacht
About Project Orca
The interior of Project Orca is not yet fixed, and that is the point of buying her at this stage: a buyer taking her on now still chooses how the space below deck is arranged. RMK Marine is building the 58-metre Orca 58M with a 2027 build year, and Lagaria collaborated on her design.
Build and provenance
Project Orca is a 58-metre, 190-foot displacement motor yacht on a monohull, with an 11.9-metre beam and roughly 1,000 gross tonnes of volume. RMK Marine is building her to commercial class, a construction standard specified before she is built rather than added afterwards.
Layout and accommodation
The interior is still open to the owner’s brief, with room in the plan for a gym, a skylounge, or whatever the buyer wants instead. That openness is the trade a buyer makes for taking her on before delivery.
Performance and engineering
Two MTU 16V 2000 CR engines, rated at 2,600 hp each, will power her once she is built. Her draft is set at nine feet eight inches.
On deck and at anchor
A pool measuring roughly six by three metres sits flush into the aft main deck, with fold-down bulwarks that open the space to the water when she is anchored, turning the stern into an open-air lounge rather than an enclosed deck.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Orca is being built in Fort Lauderdale, and that is where a buyer would see her under construction. Boatcrowd arranges viewings and attends them, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow ahead of delivery.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
