Just A Vacation is built for hosting: ten guests across five cabins, a crew of five to run the boat, and a full-beam master suite on the main deck rather than tucked below. Ocean Alexander delivered her as a 30R in 2024, and she carries the deck toys and beach-club fit-out of a yacht used for entertaining as much as cruising.
Build and provenance
Ocean Alexander built Just A Vacation as a 30R, thirty metres or ninety-seven feet in length, delivered in 2024 with a fibreglass hull on a semi-displacement form built for efficient cruising rather than outright speed. Evan K. Marshall worked as both exterior and interior designer, so her look and her layout came from a single hand.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins, one of them the full-beam suite on the main deck where the owner stays, forward and set apart from the guest cabins below. The remaining four cabins sit on the lower deck: a forward VIP, two further ensuite doubles, and a fifth that converts between twin berths and one larger bed, useful for children or an extra couple. A crew of five keeps the guest-to-crew ratio close, which on a boat that also works as a charter yacht means service stays personal.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at 18 knots and reaches 23 knots flat out, with twin diesel engines from MAN driving her semi-displacement hull. Stabilisers work both at anchor and under way, and a 2,040-nautical-mile range with 3,600 gallons of fuel give her the legs for real distance. A watermaker fitted aboard means she is not tied to a dock for fresh water.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge adds a second helm and lounging above the main saloon, while sunpads and a swimming platform lead down to the beach club aft. A crane launches the jet ski, underwater lights extend the beach club after dark, and Wi-Fi and Starlink keep the connection live throughout.

Just A Vacation lies in Fort Lauderdale, in the United States, ready for viewing. We set up the appointments and are there for every one, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before she changes hands. She also sails in our charter fleet out of Nassau, reaching the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, St Martin, St Barths, St Kitts and Nevis and Antigua and Barbuda, so a buyer can spend time aboard her before deciding to own her.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
