About Salt & Light
A yacht delivered in 2025 carries no history to speak of yet, just the standard she was built to. Salt & Light is a flybridge motor yacht from Ocean Alexander, 95 feet long with a 23-foot beam, and everything about her comes from the yard's own construction methods rather than years of ownership. Evan K. Marshall drew her layout, built to the yard's own established construction methods.
Build and provenance
Her hull is built in closed-cell structural foam, and Ocean Alexander laminates it using a vinyl ester and epoxy infusion process the yard credits with 20 percent more strength and 18 percent less weight than a hand-laid hull. That combination is what let the yard fit Salt & Light's full-beam master suite amidships and a forward main-deck dining area with an open galley, without adding structural weight elsewhere.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four en suite cabins, and the full-beam master sits amidships on its own run of the deck rather than tucked into a corner. Crew quarters are aft, keeping service routes away from guest cabins, and the forward dining area opens straight into the galley, useful for moving between a casual breakfast and a formal dinner without resetting the room.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,600 hp MTU engines drive Salt & Light, giving her the power a 29-metre flybridge motor yacht needs to carry that full-beam volume without feeling heavy underway. Her Sidepower Vector Fin stabilisers work at rest as well as under way, so a stop for lunch on the hook stays flat rather than rolling.
On deck and at anchor
The bridge deck carries a crane for tender and toy handling, and the sky lounge above it has its own wet bar, a separate space from the main salon for guests who want to be away from the crowd. A Starlink connection keeps her online well offshore, and her water maker with an integrated Spot Zero system lets the crew keep glassware spot-free without buying bottled water at anchor.

Salt & Light lies in Jupiter, Florida. Boatcrowd arranges each viewing and is there for it, and once an offer is accepted we organise survey and sea trial ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
