Build and provenance
Leonidas is a custom-built, 37-metre displacement motor yacht on a monohull, measuring 121 feet overall and 244 gross tonnes. Marti Yat delivered her in 2018, and she was refitted in 2022, a hull with recent work behind her rather than a boat sold as she was launched.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, looked after by a crew of five, a ratio that leaves room for attentive service around a full guest list.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,925 hp Caterpillar C32 engines give Leonidas a 12.5-knot cruise and a 17.5-knot top speed, enough power to close distance between anchorages quickly rather than idle along at a walking pace. Her displacement monohull rides steady through that range instead of trimming onto a plane, a shape built for comfort over outright thrill.
On deck and at anchor
A balcony opens one of her decks straight to the sea air, and a hydraulic swim platform at the stern lowers guests to the water without a ladder to negotiate.

Leonidas lies in Bodrum, Turkey. We set up the viewing and come along in person, and after an accepted offer the survey and sea trial come next, ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
