About O'Ptasia
At 85 metres, O'Ptasia is one of the largest yachts Golden Yachts has built, a scale that shows in her numbers: 2,342 gross tons of volume for 22 guests, cared for by a crew of 29. The Greek yard delivered her in 2018, and her design came from a collaboration between her owner and the Italian designer Giorgio Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis.
Build and provenance
Golden Yachts built O'Ptasia as a displacement motor yacht on a monohull, shaped for everyday comfort and easy living aboard rather than a compact cruising brief. At 13.8 metres across and with a 3.6-metre draught, she carries her volume low and wide, the kind of proportions that keep a yacht of this size settled at sea.
Layout and accommodation
Ten cabins sleep 22 guests, looked after by a crew of 29, a ratio of more than one crew member for every guest that keeps service close at hand. An owner's study and a separate office give room for work as well as rest, and a tender garage keeps her toys out of sight until they are wanted.
Performance and engineering
Two Caterpillar 3516C engines, each rated at 3,386 hp, give O'Ptasia a 16-knot cruise and a 20-knot top speed, enough for open-water passages at a real pace rather than coastal hops alone. Stabilisers work both underway and at anchor, holding her steady on passage and quiet once she is settled for the night.
On deck and at anchor
On deck she carries a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a separate dip pool, a swimming platform and a beach club, with sunpads and an outdoor bar close at hand. She also holds a spa with a gym, a steam room and a massage room, a cinema, a helipad, a lift between decks and underwater lights for the anchorage after dark. Satellite communications, WiFi and satellite TV with video on demand keep her connected wherever she lies.

O'Ptasia lies in Greece. Boatcrowd arranges a viewing and is there for it, and once an offer on her is accepted, a survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
