About Sir Banyan
A draft of six feet nine lets Sir Banyan into anchorages a deeper-draft yacht her length would have to avoid. Majesty Yachts delivered her in 2025, 37 metres, 121 feet, with that shallow draft built in as a deliberate choice rather than a limitation.
Build and provenance
She was delivered in 2025 with fibreglass composite construction. Cristiano Gatto's design team drew the interior, built around natural light.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six cabins, with the full-beam owner's suite set on the main deck for its own space and view, and the remaining cabins below. Crew quarters for up to seven keep service separate from guest life, room enough for a full team on a yacht this size. A sundeck above holds a jacuzzi and shaded seating, another deck of outdoor living over the accommodation.
Performance and engineering
Two MTU diesel engines give her a cruising speed of around 12 knots and a top speed near 20, modest figures against her length that point to a yacht built to cover ground steadily rather than sprint between anchorages. Her water tank holds 2,608 gallons, enough capacity for real time aboard without a stop to refill.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
