About Optimism
Marble and onyx accents run through Optimism's interior, paired with Tabu Sycamore Friese and light-grain wood panelling that carries a contemporary look from the main salon through to the panoramic upper deck lounge. Majesty Yachts delivered this thirty-seven-metre tri-deck motor yacht in 2024, hull four of the Majesty 120 series. Six staterooms and several entertaining decks give that design room to work with, inside and out.
Build and provenance
Majesty Yachts built Optimism to the RINA Commercial Class rules, meeting Red Ensign Group requirements as well, using composite construction on a hull designed for extended cruising and entertaining. She is hull four of the Majesty 120 series, thirty-seven metres long with an 8.1-metre beam and a two-metre draft. For a buyer, class-society standards mean she was built to a commercial-grade specification, with the survey paperwork that comes with it.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six staterooms, including a full-beam owner's suite forward on the main deck with its own lounge, walk-in closet and marble bathroom. A crew of eight is berthed separately, three cabins aft plus a dedicated captain's cabin on the upper deck. At the waterline a beach club with a bar and a fridge brings the entertaining space down to the water, and an electrohydraulic swim platform with a tender garage sits alongside it.
Performance and engineering
Twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines rated at 2,600 horsepower apiece give Optimism a fourteen-knot cruise and an eighteen-knot top speed, with a range of around 1,153 nautical miles at that cruising speed. Fuel and water tanks of 5,709 and 2,608 gallons back that range up, a reserve that suits an owner planning longer trips away from a marina.
Where she lies and how to see her
Optimism lies in Palm Beach. We arrange a viewing on request and are there for it, and once an offer is accepted the survey and sea trial follow before handover. She also charters through Boatcrowd from a base in Nassau, reaching the Bahamas, the wider Caribbean and the Mediterranean through the season, so a buyer can spend a week aboard before deciding to make her theirs.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
