About Promise.
A heated contraflow pool and a steam room sit alongside two master suites with Onsen baths aboard Promise, the kind of amenity list that makes a 51-metre motor yacht a place to live rather than just cruise. Feadship delivered her in 2018, and a refit now under way, begun in 2025, is bringing new paint, updated systems and refreshed interiors.
Build and provenance
Feadship built Promise as a custom, full-displacement motor yacht of 902 gross tons. She holds an Ice Class 1E classification and a Polar Ship Certificate, and she is built to Tier III commercial standards while remaining privately registered. The current refit is adding new paint, updated systems and refreshed interiors on top of that build.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated aboard Promise across six cabins, including two master suites, each with an Onsen bath, alongside a steam room for the wider guest list to share. A crew of thirteen looks after them, a ratio that means service rarely lags behind a request. A guest lift and step-free routes let every guest move between decks with ease.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,300 hp Caterpillar C32 engines give Promise an 11-knot cruise and a 14.5-knot top speed, figures that belong to a long-range displacement hull built for distance rather than speed. A tender garage keeps her toys out of sight until they are needed, in keeping with a yacht built to cross oceans rather than dash along a coast.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a heated contraflow pool and a swimming pool are both on offer, along with a balcony giving direct access to the sea. Starlink keeps her connected, a helipad sits aft certified for helicopter operations up to three tonnes, and the owner's suite carries a private balcony with BR4-rated glazing. An elevator reaches every deck, useful on a yacht with this much vertical space to cover.
Where she lies and how to see her
Promise lies in Imperia, Italy. Boatcrowd sets up every viewing and is there in person, and once an offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial follow before she passes to a new owner.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
