Five cabins are built to hold ten guests aboard Project Atalay, with eleven crew assigned to run the yacht, at 499 gross tons on a 50-metre hull with an 8.9-metre beam. Contest Yachts is building her for delivery in 2028, a custom design rather than a series hull.
Build and provenance
Contest Yachts is constructing Project Atalay as a custom design, not a repeat of an existing model, with Uldas Design responsible for the exterior and H2 Yacht Design for the interior, a split that lets each firm work to its own strength rather than one studio covering both. She is being built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, classed with Lloyd's Register, and her construction means a buyer today is securing a build slot and its eventual outcome rather than inspecting a finished yacht.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are carried in five cabins, including an owner's suite and two VIP staterooms, with a further room presently set aside for yoga that could convert into a third VIP cabin. Eleven crew run the yacht, a count that outsizes the guest list, pointing to a fully crewed, hands-on style of service.
Performance and engineering
Two Caterpillar engines give her a 12-knot cruise and 15 knots at full throttle, figures that favour comfort and low noise over outright pace. Three 70-kilowatt Kohler generators keep hotel systems running independently of the mains, and a stated range of 4,000 nautical miles puts genuine ocean crossings within reach rather than coastal hops alone. Stabilisers are fitted for use both at anchor and underway, keeping her level in a swell as well as at rest.
On deck and at anchor
A swimming pool is built into her deck plan, one of the outdoor spaces the design leans on, and air conditioning is fitted, worthwhile equipment for time aboard in warm-weather cruising.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Atalay is under construction in Turkey, following the yard's own build schedule toward 2028. Boatcrowd arranges viewings of her progress and attends them with a prospective buyer, and once an offer on her build slot is accepted, we take her through survey and sea trial as she nears completion.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
