An even 471 gross tons on a forty-four-metre hull is the figure that frames Lumina's design. Benetti is building her now as a Class 44M under its B.Now designation, with delivery due in 2026. At 144 feet on deck, her volume runs ahead of her length, shaping a wide beam and a full displacement hull rather than a fixed footprint.
Build and provenance
She is currently In build, with a 2026 delivery, on the Class 44M platform. Her monohull and displacement style are built for range and stability rather than outright speed. A beam of 9.2 metres and a draught of 2.3 metres give her the footprint to carry 471 gross tons without a deep draught.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated across five cabins, and the yacht's 471 gross tons on a 44-metre hull gives each cabin genuine width rather than a corridor-driven layout. The finished arrangement will follow the Class 44M plan as the build progresses toward her 2026 delivery.
Performance and engineering
Two MAN V12 engines, each rated at 1,400 hp, give her a cruising speed of 11 knots and a top speed of 15 knots, figures suited to a displacement hull built to cover distance steadily rather than sprint between anchorages. Fin stabilisers work both at anchor and under way, keeping her level whether she is moored or making passage.
On deck and at anchor
A sun deck sits above the accommodation, and a bow thruster together with underwater lighting make close-quarters handling and evening anchorages easier to manage. A watermaker and a generator support extended time away from a marina, and a Starlink connection keeps guests in touch at anchor as readily as on passage.
Where she lies and how to see her
Lumina is under construction at Benetti's yard in Viareggio, Italy. Boatcrowd arranges viewings there and attends them with you, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
