About Palmax
A single owner, a private family, is the whole ownership history on record for this Magellano 30M: no charter turns, no fleet use, just one household's yacht since Azimut delivered her in 2022 as hull number 1 of the Magellano 30 Metri series. She is offered for sale from Italy, styled by two separate designers rather than one.
Build and provenance
The exterior lines are the work of the designer Ken Freivokh, and the interior is by Vincenzo De Cotiis. Palmax was built to RINA class for hull and machinery as a yacht in private use. Her hull and superstructure are finished in Awlgrip and Awlcraft paint, and at 199 gross tonnes on 30 metres she holds five cabins and two saloons within that class.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across those five cabins, with a crew of five to run the boat around them, an even crew-to-guest split of one to two. A sky lounge and a Pullman berth extend the accommodation beyond the cabin count, useful for a family who travel with staff or older children wanting their own space.
Performance and engineering
The same twin MAN V12s, rated at 1900 hp, push Palmax to a 16-knot cruise and 20 knots flat out. Stabilisers hold her level at anchor and under way, which matters most in the five cabins below, where motion is felt hardest.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, Palmax carries a jacuzzi and a separate spa pool, a dedicated sun deck, and space set aside for al fresco dining. Between the sky lounge above and the saloons below, she offers several places to gather beyond the five cabins.
Where she lies and how to see her
Palmax lies in Italy. We arrange every viewing ourselves and are present throughout; once a buyer's offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial follow before the sale completes.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
