About D Five
Thirty-six knots is the top speed that defines D Five, and the engineering behind it is old-school by choice: twin MTU engines drive traditional propeller shafts rather than pods or jets. Azimut built her in 2021 as part of the S10 series, styled by Alberto Mancini.
Build and provenance
She is a 29-metre S10, Azimut's S-Series model, built in glass-reinforced plastic with a beam of 6.3 metres, a draft of 2 metres and a gross tonnage of 155. RINA classification and exterior styling by Alberto Mancini sit behind that specification, and she was delivered in 2021.
Layout and accommodation
Nine guests sleep across four cabins aboard D Five: a full-beam master suite, two VIP cabins and a twin, with a crew of four in their own quarters to keep guest spaces private. A skylounge and a dedicated office add further interior space, and a gym on board gives guests a way to keep a routine at sea.
Performance and engineering
Twin MTU engines rated at 2,600 horsepower each drive traditional propeller shafts rather than pods, giving her a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 36 knots. A Seakeeper stabiliser steadies her at anchor and underway, and a listed range of 550 nautical miles gives her the legs for a full day's run between anchorages without refuelling.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, the sun deck carries a jacuzzi and a separate spa pool, two ways to spend time at anchor without leaving the boat.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
